Everything about urban life is an endless source of inspiration for me – its rhythms, its sounds, its take out smells, its colorful graffiti on brick walls, its conversations in subway. Even the attempt to get away from the city and enjoy the beauty of flowers and nature, my travels, the longing for the sea, still is inspired by breathing the intoxicating urban air. Even my surrealistic dreams, that as you will see found their little place here are created by it.
Artist Olga Hutsul combines photography and digital art to produce beautiful Urban designs. Just looking at Olga's work makes me want to lace up a pair of kicks, hit the street, and take in the city.

So much has gone on in the past week that there hasn't been a post during that time. To make up for that I'll skip boring you with the details and let you meet our next Featured shoe designer and Zazzle artist. Hi, My name is Olympia and I live in Greece. Since my early years I have had an inclination for whatever has to do with art. Not being able to study something relevant to art, I finally became a Greek teacher. Some years ago, I took a course in drawing. Later on, I bought my first computer with drawing software. I loved it. And then I discovered Zazzle. It’s fun to hear how I discovered Zazzle. In August of 2008, I chanced upon CafePress. I made some designs and thought to open a store. Then, I had the idea to google the words CafePress versus… and it gave back Zazzle. That was it! I found Zazzle and I fell in love with the shoes and opened my shoe store. Check out Olympia's other Zazzle Shops for more great designs! There are many talented artist creating Keds shoe designs at Zazzle. I would like to introduce the first of the Zazzle artist to be featured at The Shoe Canvas. Here is her shopkeeper bio to let you know a little bit about her. Hi, I'm Claire, known to my friends as 'Pixie'. I'm a graphic designer, fractal artist and photographer. When I'm not working on a project for a client, I'm usually found out in the open air behind my camera and when i'm at home i'll be found at my computer creating fractal and psychedelic art in Photoshop. I'm a bit of a hippy at heart and just love bright colours and festival vibes. I can spend hours and hours at a time playing with colours and textures and creating eye-boggling hippy art. You can find more of Claire's designs at Hippy Gift Shop and Photography by Pixie. |
